Kiterini Church construction

By the grace of God, Witnesses to the Ends had the joy of supporting the construction of Sayuni Christian Centre church in Kiterini village, Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Kiterini is located in an area where the gospel witness has historically been small and where Christianity is not the majority faith. In such a place, planting and strengthening a church requires courage, humility, and steady faith. We are deeply thankful that the Lord allowed us to stand alongside this community and be part of His work there.

Pastor Frank Msechu was called by God to minister in this very village. When he first arrived, the conditions were harsh and the reception was not warm. There was resistance, uncertainty, and real hardship in those early days. Yet he did not turn back. He trusted the Lord who called him, remained faithful to his assignment, and continued serving with patience and love even when the results were not immediate.

Over time, that small and fragile beginning grew into a committed fellowship of believers. What started with perseverance and prayer has now become a stable and visible testimony of God’s faithfulness. Through the generous support given, a concrete block church building was constructed, providing a safe and dignified place for worship.

Today, the church is in good condition and can hold up to 100 people. It stands not just as a building, but as a sign of hope in Kiterini—a place where people gather to pray, learn God’s Word, and encourage one another. We thank God for every prayer lifted, every sacrifice made, and every hand that contributed. May this church continue to shine as a light in the village for many years to come.
